About John Wade
John Wade is a Chartered Building Surveyor having membership of the Building Surveying, Construction, Residential Property, Valuation and Dispute Resolution Faculties of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He has over twenty years experience as a surveyor and has built up an extensive range of professional expertise.
John has designed and managed building and construction contracts in both the private and public sector. He has an architectural background of designing schemes of repair and refurbishment having trained in multidisciplinary offices with an architectural focus. He has overseen the refurbishing and renovating of period properties and Listed Buildings. Clients have included the NHS and Local Authority Departments and Local Education Authorities.
Since moving to Brighton in 1996 he has concentrated more on residential surveys and valuations and general professional practice work. John regularly advises clients on the condition and value of properties prior to acquisition. He is accredited as member of SAVA (Surveyors And Valuers Accreditation) an organisation at the forefront of setting benchmark standards for residential surveys and pioneering the introduction of the Sellers Pack.
He is registered as an expert witness by the Law Society and he is a member of the RICS Dispute Resolution Faculty. He is often called upon to assist in resolving construction and neighbour disputes. John is also a member of the Pyramus and Thisbee Club as a Party Wall Surveyor experienced in the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
During his time off John has a busy family life and he enjoys active pursuits such as circuit training, keeping fit and dinghy sailing.
